About

Why “pretzel runner?” I’ve practiced yoga now for 21 years. I started running 10 years ago. For years I tried to make sense of balancing the 2. I thought if I were a good runner I couldn’t be a good yogini, and vice versa. How can I practice quiet and stillness if I was constantly in motion while running? How can I be a successful runner if I am still in my body, mind and breath in postures and meditation? Within the last few years I’ve realized the 2 activities do not have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, when I consistently incorporate the 2 in my everyday life, I am more balanced and stable in my running, my yoga, and my overall approach to living.

I have been practicing yoga since 1994. I became a Registered Yoga Teacher in 2008. My training is in classical Hatha yoga; meditation, breathing and relaxation; yoga philosophy and psychology; the basics of Ayurveda. I teach Hatha Yoga, relaxation, breathing and meditation. I offer private lessons as well as corporate and special event classes. I have also developed specialized classes for runners.
